We take data protection seriously

The protection of your privacy when processing your personal data is important to us. When you visit our website, our web server automatically saves your internet service provider’s IP address, the website from which you are visiting us, the pages on our website that you view and the date and time of your visit. This information is essential for the technical display of this website and secure server operation. This data is not personally evaluated.

If you submit data to us using the contact form, this data will be stored on our servers as part of data security. We only process your data to process your request. Your data is treated with the utmost confidentiality. It is not passed on to third parties.

Personal Data

Personal data is any data about your person. This includes your name, address and e-mail address. You do not have to submit any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we need your name and address and/or additional information in order to offer you the service you desire.

The same applies if we are requested to provide you with information materials or answer your questions. In this case, you will always be informed of this. We also only store data that you have automatically or voluntarily provided to us.

If you use one of our services, we generally only collect data necessary in allowing us to offer you our service. We may ask you for more information on a voluntary basis. When we process personal data, we do so in order to offer you our services or to pursue our commercial aims.

Automatically Stored Data

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and saves information that your browser automatically submits to us in server log files. This includes:

• Date and time of request
• Name of requested file
• Page requested from the file
• Access status (file transferred, file not found etc.)
• Web browser and operating system used
• Full IP address of requesting computer
• Amount of data transferred

This data is not merged with data from other sources. In compliance with article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the improvement of our website’s stability and functionality.
This data is temporarily stored by us for reasons of technical security, particularly defence against attempted attacks on our web server. It is not possible to link this data to individual people. After no more than seven days, this data shall be anonymised by a shortening of the IP address at domain level so that it is no longer possible to identify the individual user. The data is also used for statistical purposes in its anonymised form; it is not compared with other data sets or passed on to third parties, even in the form of excerpts. The number of page views is only made available as part of our server statistics, which we publish in our activity report every two years.

Cookies

If you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a cookie ID. A cookie ID is a clear identifier for a cookie. It is made up of a serial number that websites and servers can use to identify a specific browser in which the cookie is saved. This allows visited websites and servers to differentiate between the data subject’s individual browser and other browsers containing other cookies. A certain internet browser can be recognised and identified using its unique cookie ID.

The use of session cookies allows the controller to provide the user of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without the storage of cookies. Without consent, we only use technically necessary cookies based on a legitimate interest in compliance with article 6 paragraph 1 f of the GDPR.

We only use personal cookies to improve our website or for marketing/advertising purposes with your consent. When you first visit us, you can voluntarily consent to tracking/analysis on the pop-up cookie banner. Your data may be passed onto partners or third parties. In compliance with article 6 paragraph 1 a of the GDPR, these cookies will only be saved based on your consent if you explicitly agree.
You can change your cookie settings at any time here

USE OF GOOGLE SERVICES

We use the following technologies provided by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (‘Google’). The information automatically collected by Google technologies regarding your use of our website is generally transferred to a server belonging to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and stored there. There is no European Commission arrangement for the USA. Our cooperation is based on the European Commission’s standard data protection clauses.

If your IP address is collected by Google technologies, it will be shortened before being stored on Google servers by the activation of IP anonymisation. The full IP address may be transferred to a Google server before being shortened there in exceptional cases. Insofar as the individual technology does not state otherwise, data processing is based on an agreement between controllers regarding the relevant technology in compliance with article 26 of the GDPR. You can find further information about data processing by Google in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager does not collect any personal data. The tool releases other tags that collect data in certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If there is a deactivation at domain or cookie level, this applies to all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. You can find Google’s privacy policy for this tool here: https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/tag-manager/

Google Analytics

For the purposes of website analysis, Google Analytics is used to automatically collect and store data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information as well as information on your use of our website) that is used to create pseudonymised user profiles. Cookies may be used to this end. Your IP address is not merged with other Google data in principle.

We have activated ‘Google products and services’ data disclosure settings for the purposes of optimising the marketing of our website. This allows Google to access the data collected and processed by Google Analytics and subsequently improve Google services. Data disclosure to Google as part of these data disclosure settings takes place based on an additional agreement between controllers. We have no impact on subsequent data processing by Google.

In order to create and carry out tests, we also use the expansion function of Google Analytics Google Optimize.

The Google Analytics Google Signals expansion function allows ’cross-device tracking’ for the purposes of web analysis. Insofar as your internet-capable device is linked to your Google account and you have activated the ‘personalised ads’ setting in your Google account, Google can generate reports about your user behaviour even if you change your end device. We do not process personal data in this manner: we only receive statistics created based on Google Signals.

For web analysis and advertising purposes, the expansion function of Google Analytics known as a DoubleClick cookie facilitates the recognition of your browser upon visiting other websites. Google will use this information to create reports about website activities and provide other services related to website use.

MyFonts Counter

On this website, we use MyFonts Counter, a web analysis service provided by MyFonts Inc., 500 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA. Based on licence provisions, page view tracking is carried out by counting the number of website views for statistical purposes before transferring this data to MyFonts. MyFonts only collects anonymised data. Data is also passed on through the activation of JavaScript code in your browser. In order to prevent the running of JavaScript code by MyFonts in general, you can install a JavaScript blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net). You can find more information about the MyFonts Counter in the MyFonts privacy policy here: http://www.myfonts.com/info/terms-and-conditions/#Privacy

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures in order to protect your personal data from loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All of our employees and the service providers that work for us are obliged to uphold valid data security law.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, this is encrypted before transfer. This means that your data cannot be abused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a constant process of improvement and our privacy policies are constantly changing. Please ensure that you have the latest version.

Right to Correction:
If we are processing your data and this data is incomplete or incorrect, you can request correction or completion by us at any time.

Right to Deletion:

You can request that we delete your data insofar as we are processing this unlawfully or if the processing violates your legitimate protected interests disproportionately. Please note that there may be grounds preventing immediate deletion, e.g. in the case of statutory retention obligations. Regardless of the exercising of your right to deletion, we will delete your data in full insofar as there is no related contradictory legal or statutory retention obligation.

Right to Restrict Processing:

• you are disputing the correctness of this data - for a duration that lets us review the data’s correctness.
• the data processing is unlawful but you reject deletion and instead request the restriction of data processing,

• you have objected to the data processing.

Right to Data Transferability:

You can request that we provide the data you have provided to us in a structured, standard and machine-readable format and that you can pass this data onto another controller without hindrance from us as long as
• we are processing this data based on revocable consent provided by you or to fulfil a contract between us and
• this processing is taking place with the help of automated processes.
If technically feasible, you can request that we directly transfer your data to another controller.

Right to Object:

If we process your data based on a legitimate interest, you can object to this data processing at any time; this would also apply to profiling based on these provisions. We will then cease processing your data unless we can prove urgent grounds worthy of protection that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms or if the processing serves to exercise, pursue or defend legal claims. If your data is processed for the purposes of direct advertising, you can object at any time without providing grounds.

Right to Complain:

If you are of the opinion that we are violating German or European data protection law in the processing of your data, please contact us to clarify the matter. Of course, you have the right to seek out the supervisory body responsible for you or the relevant state data protection authority. If you would like to exercise any of these aforementioned rights, please contact our data protection agent. If in doubt, we may request further information to confirm your identity.
